The Survival of Fluidity is a self-portrait of the artist that explores defining genderfluidity representation with various inspirations and histories that explores bodies and embodiments. From the classical depiction of Vitruvian Man by Leonardo Da Vinci that explores human proportions and embodying “Perfection”, and the modern take of embodying surreal turmoil and the rising tensions of its time with The Triumph of Surrealism by Max Ernst, The Survival of Fluidity takes on representing a queer body that is growing and exploring its identity during the rise of anti-trans and anti-queerness propaganda and ideologies. Jynx brings themselves into their work with performance to embody what they coined the term of the style of Chaotic Queerness as a means to depict their emotional and mental state. The depictions of various emotions and reactions with smokey masks are both the artist’s reactions and mental audience to their own survival. Certain icons, including their pet cat Polly and the FLOOF flowers are spiritual visuals to represent guardians of Jynx.

An introduction to a few characters created throughout the year by the artist. The QUEER REAPER inspired by the grim reaper, being a notable figure in many religions and mythologies, wearing an androgynous outfit wielding a Scythe comes down in a flamboyant, joyful entrance. The Queer Reaper enters with the aide of explosive french bombs called BOOMs that release colorful smoke and pigment powder that stains everything it touches. The FLOOF flowers made of soft light of color surround the scene as its shield and joy. A self insert of the artist is also prominent that is manifested by the BOOM smoke that signifies the spread of (queer) joy no matter the limitations that oppose it.

DEMOCRACY V.S. FASCISM was made illustrating the battle of democracy and fascism and when fascism is at the corner about to be defeated. The scene shows not just queer joy but humanity joy exploding against hate and fascism. The painting was completed the morning of the 2024 election day before the results came out that night.
After Donald Trump and the fascist administration won the presidency the painting became a foreshadowing of what is to come for the United States. The next 4 years would be uncharted territory and challenging for everyone.
